Media Ministry GOALS

The goal of the Media Ministry team is to provide services worthy of the worship of Jesus Christ.  We will accomplish this goal by utilizing prayer, planning, preparation and practice while keeping our priorities of God, family and church in order.

  Mission Statement

We will assist the church body, visually and audibly in turning spiritual seekers into fully developed ministers of Christ.  We will seek how to best serve every ministry with media and technology to help facilitate bringing people to know, grow and show Jesus.

The Media Ministry would like to offer you a personality test to join our ministry...

Q1   If a tree fell in the woods and no one was there to hear it, would it make a sound?
Q2   Which came first, the chicken or the wave?
Q3   Would you rather play video games or go out to dinner?
Q4   If Superman traveled faster than the 'sound' of a speeding bullet, how fast would he be going?
 

If you knew the answers to all four of these question, then you qualify for Media Ministry leadership.  If you knew the answer to three or more questions, then you should be a weekly member of the Media Ministry team.  If you knew the answer to 2 of these questions, then you have the aptitude to be trained for the Media MInistry.  If you knew the answer to one 1 of these questions, then you could be a Media Ministry backup. 

Answers are:

Q1   Yes - sound is a longitudinal wave which can travel thru gases (air), liquids (under water) or solids (the earth)
Q2   Wave - Genesis 1:3 "and God said..."
Q3   Video Games...duh!!
Q4   Greater than 330 m/s (the speed of sound in air is approximately 330 m/s)

 

Come have fun with the Media Team, positions are always available.  Sundays 10:30am and 6pm with sound board, camera person, and Easy Worship.  Sunday practices @ 4pm - 6pm.  Wednesday night @ 7pm with sound board, camera person and Easy Worship.  We also have positions open for video producers and sound editors.  If you are interested, please see Steve Dubrava, Travis Greenwell or Pastor Huskey.
